Weight loss inspiration

The phrase: “visualize what you make of yourself and it will happen” didn’t really inspire me. Being a cynical little gnome, the mental side of weight loss didn’t really hit me until watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA4V28Rkb7g&feature=related

My dark cynical side is making me cringe, but there is something she mentioned that I find myself doing often. (Note that I am in no way affiliated with her nor am I going to push her products, so if you don’t have time to watch it, I’ll just mention one part that stood out to me.)

Desire: write down all desires around being thin in detail

Intuition: use intuition and inner guidance to find things that would serve you and your body

E

Emotions: identify the emotions around food and how you use food to feel better and work new associations with food

T

Thoughts: change thoughts about body, self, and replace those thoughts new, healthy, positive thin thoughts.

This is cheesy for me, but it holds true. If you don’t stay motivated you’ll never have the kind of results you want (preaching to myself, here :P).
